LIQUEURS VANTANA

Made of top quality raw materials and essential oils, VANTANA distillery drinks stand out for their rich aroma and excellently balanced flavour.

VANTANA’s knowledge and expertise in liqueur production started many years ago, when Panagioti Vantana created for the first time liqueur flavours such as Banana, Rose, Cinnamon, Clove, Mastic, Cherry, Mint and many combinations that were very popular at the time.

Today, combining top quality raw materials and modern distillation techniques, VANTANA has enriched its product range with new flavours that satisfy perfectly the contemporary palate and the creative requirements of modern complex cocktails.

Flavour nuances such as the sweet, sour and acidic have been fantastically paired, with each bottle sealing its very own, unique aromas. Every VANTANA liqueur is special; it matures and is homogenised at its own time to offer ultimately stable flavour, aroma and colour.

The VANTANA liqueur range comprises: Banana, Rose, Mint, Cherry, Coffee, Coconut, Lemon - Limoncello, Amaretto, Triple Sec, Blue Curacao.

VANTANA liqueurs are also perfect in creative baking.

MASTIC VANTANA

Panagiotis Vantanas, a quality distillation aficionado, had been using original Chios Mastic from the very beginning of his distillery operation.

Mastic is a unique resin that is collected like precious tear drops from the bark and branches of mastic trees in South Chios and has been known for ages for its unique flavour and special aroma.

The medical qualities of Mastic have been known since antiquity. Lately, academic research proved its therapeutic action.

Tradition meets modernity. The production of VANTANA Mastic is the result of a thorough procedure that requires great patience and is related to nature. Traditional cultivation, harvest and cleaning techniques are combined with modern distillation techniques.

VANTANA distillery, driven by the tradition and know-how of three generations, has been producing VANTANA Mastic for many years, keeping its characteristics unchanged and offering an exquisite experience of flavour.

It is an exquisite Mastic liqueur with ideal balances. Clear, aromatically elegant with floral freshness and notes of eucalyptus. Complex and rich in the palate, with a sweet and crispy long-lasting after-taste.

It is best enjoyed chilled, neat or in cocktails, as well as a digestif.
Especially the sweets have their honour. It goes very well with strawberries, with a rich fruit salad, with cakes, chocolate, pistachio sweets, brioche, ice cream and cheesecake.

Ouzo was one of the first products developed by Panagiotis Vantanas back in 1904, when he opened his distillery in Patras.

At that time, the port of Patras was one of the largest Greek hubs of trade between the East and the West. Raisins, spices, nuts, herbs, seeds, groceries and imported goods were traded through the port.
Panagiotis Vantanas was looking for the ideal ingredients that, after many distillation experiments, would help him master his own recipes to perfection.
Using unique raw materials, in the right proportions, he managed to create an Ouzo with the taste of his dreams: a taste of lingering tradition; the taste of a drink that makes you feel the heartbeat of Greece, anywhere in the world.
He therefore created the 100% distilled ouzo and the Aenaon Ouzo.

ENJOYING VANTANA OUZO

The first tip for enjoying ouzo to the fullest is to first add water and then ice.
In this order, Ouzo is enjoyed at its best, as temperature is gradually reduced, properly releasing all its aromas.
In this way, the texture of the drink is intensified, the flavour palette is enhanced and the senses rejoice.
Ouzo loves the sun, the sea, good meze dishes and is best combined with good friends and a fun attitude. Small sips, sharp, appetizing flavours.
The high alcohol content of ouzo and its particularly aggressive flavour, seek and require opposite flavours for counterbalance. The taste balance between ouzo and the various meze dishes is achieved at an extreme point of intensity, where salt and pepper, lemon or vinegar, play the main role.
The variety of seafood, salads, pulses, cheese, meat, products of the Greek land and sea, highlight a huge wealth of flavours and unlimited choices to enjoy the tasting of Vantana ouzo.

BENEFITS FOR THE BODY

Like any alcoholic beverage, ouzo must be consumed responsibly and in moderation.
Its reasonable consumption benefits health due to its ingredients.
According to various studies and publications, anise helps in good bowel function, while it also contributes to the absorption of iron from food.
Ouzo can dilate the vessels and in this way can lower blood pressure.
The terpenes it contains, have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant action and protect cells from neurological diseases and from conditions such as heart disease, liver diseases, and others.
